This product is an HDMI audio extractor, supporting resolutions up to 4K / UltraHD / 2160p @60Hz. It forwards AV signals from a source device like BluRay player to a monitor / TV and also supports to break out the audio signal to connect an amplifier / AVR via optical S/PDIF / Toslink, letting you enjoy high definition video and high-quality audio at the same time. This device extracts the 5.1 surround audio from the source and transmits it to the connected amplifier / AVR, supporting Dolby 5.1 or DTS 5.1 audio via a local multi-channel sound system, e. g. in home theatres. The additional 3.5mm output also extracts and downmixes the sound output to L/R stereo for headphones or another stereo device.
